Just ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, TUDOR unveiled its first-ever moon phase watch: the 1926 Luna. Marking a milestone for the brand, the release on September 25, 2025, introduced TUDOR’s inaugural moon phase complication, combining celestial poetry with technical mastery. The timing was symbolic: as the moon shines at its fullest during the festival, the 1926 Luna celebrates togetherness, reflection, and the artistry of timekeeping, brought to life through the collaboration with multi-talented Jay Chou.

The moon has long symbolised togetherness, harmony, and the bonds of family. It was only fitting that TUDOR tapped Jay Chou, a figure celebrated for constant reinvention, to co-create its inaugural moon phase timepiece. Chou’s career spans music, film, and production and his ability to blend classical foundations with modern expression mirrors the brand’s philosophy: honour tradition while daring to explore new horizons
Chou’s artistic journey is rooted in a deep understanding of form and rhythm. A classically trained pianist who later mastered the cello and guitar, he developed a signature fusion now known as “Chou Style”, blending Western R&B and electronica with Asian classical motifs. Beyond music, he founded JVR Music in 2007, producing cross-cultural talent and directing music videos and films, each project reflecting the same meticulous attention to detail found in high-end watchmaking. His partnership with TUDOR is a natural extension of this ethos — a shared commitment to precision, artistry, and bold innovation.
It’s this shared spirit that underpins Chou’s collaborations with TUDOR, first realised in the vibrant Chrono Pink and now fully expressed in the 1926 Luna, the brand’s first-ever moon phase watch.

The 1926 line, known for its understated elegance, provided the ideal canvas. Working closely with TUDOR’s designers, Chou infused the watch with his own creative vision, resulting in a timepiece that is as luminous as a full moon on a clear night.
The 1926 Luna comes in a 39mm steel case, offered in three dial variations — deep blue, classic black, and Chou’s signature champagne tone — each conveying a unique interpretation of lunar beauty. Its softly domed dial, inspired by the moon’s curvature, catches and reflects light with subtlety, giving the watch an ethereal depth. Every detail, from the faceted arrow-shaped hour markers to the sword-shaped hands, complements the moon phase at six o’clock, creating a harmonious interplay between precision and poetry.
